Messaging Routes

Article

The differences between the 'Global I' and 'Global II' messaging routes.

Both Global I and Global II messaging routes are identical with regards to reliability, delivery speed and support for delivery states.

However, the difference between them lies in:

  1. Coverage
Some destinations are only supported by one messaging route, whilst other destinations are supported by both. Even within an individual destination that is covered by both, the network coverage may differ between them.
  2. Price
In most cases, the delivery cost of messages sent via Global I is more than that of Global II.
  3. Originator Support
Whilst Global I provides full support for dynamic originators, Global II only provides support for static originators.
