The importance of field-names.
Each contact list is made up of one or more fieldnames. These create the structure of each contact list and, unlike traditional address books, are custom-definable by their users.
Field names therefore play two important roles:
- Providing the criteria through which a contact can be identified.
- Message personalisation - it is the fieldname that is entered into the skeleton of the message body and the corresponding data is then inserted into the final message.
