Q&A

Question

How can I send messages with accented characters such as é, è or à?

Answer

Plain-text messages are restricted to the GSM 7-Bit Alphabet and, although this does cover many accented characters, it does not cover them all.

So, the two alternatives are to either replace the unsupported characters with their plain-text equivalent or deliver the message using Unicode.
