Delivery Reports

Article

Delivery reports in detail.

Delivery reports are used by network operators to inform each other about the delivery status of the messages that they handle.

The real importance of delivery reports lies in knowing the 'fate' of each message that you send. For example, they allow you to know that your messages have been delivered to recipient handsets, as well as the date and time of their delivery. They also help you to identify messages that could not be delivered, helping you to avoid sending messages to numbers that cannot be reach (e.g. no longer valid).

By default, we request delivery reports from all of our network operators and as our messaging routes are extremely reliable, we receive delivery reports in real-time and provide them back to our customers at no extra cost.

Delivery reports can be returned to remote servers using HTTP & SMTP and can also be viewed/downloaded via SMS Online. Furthermore, for those customers that subscribe to the Broadcast Analysis extension, delivery reports can be filtered and compiled for in-depth overviews of single broadcasts.
