Email Permissions.
For the Email-to-SMS service to be accessed, the sending email address needs to be given permission via SMS Online.
This is because:
- Email is passed openly on the Internet and is therefore an insecure method of communication. As such, an account's main password should never be disclosed in an email message.
- The Email-to-SMS service is mainly for large organisations that SMS-enable staff. As such, email permissions make this possible without disclosing an account's main password and allows tracking of each sender's activities.
