Email Permissions.

For the Email-to-SMS service to be accessed, the sending email address needs to be given permission via SMS Online.

This is because:

  1. Email is passed openly on the Internet and is therefore an insecure method of communication. As such, an account's main password should never be disclosed in an email message.
  2. The Email-to-SMS service is mainly for large organisations that SMS-enable staff. As such, email permissions make this possible without disclosing an account's main password and allows tracking of each sender's activities.
