Recipient Numbers

Q&A

Question

What happens if I provide a recipient number in its localised format without using a default country code?

Answer

By default, our messaging platform strips off any leading 0's from recipient numbers and then scans its first few digits to identify the country code, and therefore the country, to which the message is being delivered.

As such, our messaging platform will process the message as usual and attempt to deliver it if the first few digits of the localised number matches that the dialling code of a country supported by your chosen messaging route.
