Having an empty credit balance is very dangerous for those who use our SMS API to provide ongoing services.
This is because we can only complete broadcasts for which sufficient funds are available and an empty balance would effectively incapacitate the service unknowingly.
The purpose of the LowBal Notifier is to help you, via email and/or SMS, know when your credit balance has dropped down to a level which you consider to be low. This would therefore give you ample time to top-up your balance accordingly and ensure that your balance never becomes so low as to disable your service.
